Asking costs you nothing. Put your name, a phone number and a few lines about the tree into the quote form, and we will call to set a time to see it. Every tree job is priced after someone has walked the yard and looked up into the tree, with the price in writing before a saw starts. If the honest answer is that a tree is fine and only needs a couple of dead limbs out, that is what you will hear.
What We Do in the Yard
Removal is the biggest part of the work: dead pines, hollow water oaks, trees leaning toward a roof and trunks split by wind. Near a house we rarely drop a tree in one piece. A climber or bucket truck takes it down in sections, with limbs lowered on ropes so nothing lands where it should not.
Trimming covers deadwood, limbs hanging over shingles or the driveway, crowns that need thinning so wind passes through, and clearance around the service drop to the house. Done right, a trim leaves the tree looking like nobody touched it.
Once a trunk is on the ground, the stump is the next question. We can grind out what the saw leaves behind so the spot goes back to lawn, a bed or a slab. After storms we pull trees off roofs, cars and drives, and on bigger properties we clear brush, saplings and vine-choked fence lines for builds, pasture and plain old breathing room.

Tree Removal
Dead, leaning and hollow trees taken down in pieces, even right beside the house.

Tree Trimming and Pruning
Deadwood out, roof and drive cleared, crowns thinned with clean cuts.

Stump Grinding
Stumps ground below the grass, roots chased, chips cleaned up or left for fill.

Storm Damage and Emergency Tree Removal
Trees off roofs, cars and drives after thunderstorms, ice and tropical storms.

Land and Lot Clearing
Brush, vines and saplings cleared for builds, fence lines and pasture.

Why Trees Come Down Around Here
The Lakelands canopy has a few weak spots. Water oaks grow fast and die young, and a lot of them carry rot inside the trunk long before the bark shows it. Loblolly pines handle most weather, but after a dry summer or a hard storm they become easy targets for southern pine beetle, and a beetle-killed pine turns brittle within months.
Then there is the ground. Red Piedmont clay holds water after a long rain, and a big tree with a shallow root plate in saturated clay can tip over whole in a summer thunderstorm, pulling up a disc of dirt taller than a person. Winter ice adds its own load; a quarter inch of glaze is enough to snap pine tops and split sweetgums. Hurricane Helene in late September 2024 showed what all of it looks like at once, with trees down across Greenwood County and homes without power for days.
Where We Work
Home base is Greenwood, from the older streets near Uptown to the newer neighborhoods off the bypass. We work across Greenwood County and the nearby Lakelands towns, from Ninety Six and Hodges to Abbeville, Ware Shoals and Saluda. Rural lots, lake houses and in-town yards all get the same walk-through and the same written price.
Smaller crossroads count too. If you are out past Coronaca, toward Troy or near Due West, put your road in the message and we will tell you plainly when we can get there.

How a Job Runs
First comes the look. Someone walks the yard, checks the trunk flare and the root zone, looks for cracks, fungus and dead tops, and figures out where every piece of the tree can safely land. That visit is where the plan and the price come from.
On work day we set up, protect what needs protecting, and keep the drop zone clear of people, pets and cars. Wood is cut to the length you ask for or hauled off, limbs go through the chipper, and the yard is raked and blown before we leave. If a stump needs grinding, it can be done the same visit or scheduled after.
